Welcome To My Home Page
This is the information page for my King George V Battleship. I am part of a world wide club called Big Guns that build 1:144 scale replicas of World War I & II ships and fight with them by remote control.

Yes, we fight with them. We use remotely firing CO2 cannons to fire various size steel balls (ranging from 0.177 to 1/4 inch in dimater). My King George V Battleship fires 7/32 in. size balls for example. This is based on the historical gun size of the ship (ten 14" guns).

Yes, these ships do sink. We have "penetrable areas" on the outside of the ship that we then cover with thin balsa wood (thickness of this wood is based on the historic thickness of the ship). For example my King George V Battleship uses 1/8" thick Balsa wood because the historical ship had 15" thick armor).

Don't worry though, we seal the electronics so after a ship has sunk we simple recover the craft, patch the holes, clean it out, and it is off fighting again (this time looking for revenge).

This site will be completed and up soon
This page is still a work in progress. The Links page must be completed, and more content is to come. Please be patient and I am planning a complete refit of this page with new pictures of the completed ship showing every part in detail.
Mid-Atlantic Battle Group
This is the chapter that I belong to. We are located in Blacksburg, Virginia (Home of the Virginia Tech Hokies), yet we have members from all over the state of Virginia and beyond...
